Sophie is a Lecturer in Law at Cambridge University and an Associate Member of the International Academy of Comparative Law. She has research interests in comparative law in Europe (esp. legal reasoning, judicial studies) and she is currently drafting, with others, EU model rules on judicial independence.

Sirko Harder has worked at universities in Australia, England, Germany and Scotland. His areas of research are the law of obligations and private international law. He is interested in comparing the laws of different common law jurisdictions and of civil law and common law jurisdictions

Professor Yseult Marique (University of Essex)
Yseult is a Professor at the Essex Law School, a Research Fellow at the FÖV Speyer (DE), an invited lecturer at UC Louvain (BE) and an Associate Member of the International Academy of Comparative Law. She has research interests in comparative administrative law in Europe (esp. differentiation between administrative cultures and general legal principles). She is currently co-editing a Handbook on Transnational Administrative Law (in French) and an edited collection on principles of good administration and the Council of Europe (in English). Yseult served as BACL treasurer from 2014 to 2021. She welcomes queries and submissions related to BACL blog.
