The British Association of Comparative Law warmly invites you to its Annual Seminar on 3 September 2024 on the occasion of the Society of Legal Scholars’ Conference at Bristol University. The BACL seminar will be held in person from 9:30 until 11:30 am.
Our speakers are Dr Eleni Kaprou (Queen Mary University London), Dr Jule Mulder (Bristol University) and Professor Peter Rott (Oldenburg University). They will discuss the notion of the “vulnerable consumer” from a comparative perspective, and will highlight the factors shaping its interpretation and application in various European jurisdictions. They will also consider the challenges raised by European harmonisation relating to vulnerable consumers, including the interactions between the social and legal dimensions.
